Green spaces are such a relief in busy cities. I praise NYC for the way it encourages communities to adopt and look after small gardens and parts of gardens. A clever idea that residents of the neighbourhood of the High Line, a disused freight train line that used to service warehouses and markets in the West Manhattan district, was to turn it into green space. It ‘s not quite finished but it’s aesthetically pleasing and a great way to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.
