Today we visited the street food markets in Palermo. I am not sure if it is the rich volcanic soil but I have never seen metre long zucchini ever before. Feast your eyes on some of this fresh produce!

The fish was amazing. Some were so small I am not sure if we could legally catch them in Australia but maybe they were fully grown.

The olives, nuts, preserved meats, cheeses and cooked street food looked mouth wateringly good.

Palermo will be remembered by us as the place for warm, friendly people and wonderful food.

So kind of you. We have loved our ten days in Italy. I think my husband will need to change his polite driving style to survive. We have had charming and generous people make our stay a real measure. We are off to the UK for 10 days now.

Thank you for your kind words. We have felt very welcome here in Italy. The hosts at the B&Bs where we have stayed have treated us like family. Some were the same age as our own children and we had many laughs together. My husband can speak some Italian which leads to a few laughs. We will hopefully be able to return one day.
